Introducing RADIUS and TACACS+ Authentication Support
We’re excited to announce that AuthNull now supports authentication via the widely used RADIUS and TACACS+ protocols! This enhancement significantly broadens the range of network devices and systems you can secure with AuthNull’s modern authentication methods.
What does this mean for you?
Many organizations rely on RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) and TACACS+ (Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus) for centralized authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) for network access. With this new support, you can now integrate AuthNull seamlessly with your existing AAA infrastructure.
Key Supported Platforms:
We’ve focused on ensuring compatibility with the most common RADIUS/TACACS+ servers in the enterprise environment:
- Microsoft Network Policy Server (NPS): Integrate AuthNull with your Windows Server-based RADIUS infrastructure.
- Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE): Leverage AuthNull’s capabilities within your Cisco network environment using ISE.
- Aruba ClearPass: Integrate AuthNull into your Aruba ClearPass to provide support for Network devices authenticating using Clearpass.
How it works (Simplified):
When a user attempts to authenticate to a network device (like a VPN, switch, or wireless access point) configured to use one of the supported RADIUS/TACACS+ servers, that server can now forward the authentication request to AuthNull. AuthNull processes the request using its conditional access policies and multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods, providing a robust and secure authentication experience without needing to replace your existing AAA servers.
This integration allows you to extend strong, phishing-resistant authentication to network devices, enhancing your overall security posture and moving closer to a Zero Trust architecture.
